Flocculants
Flocculants are chemical agents used to promote the aggregation of fine particles in liquids, leading them to form larger clumps or “flocs” that can be more easily separated from the liquid. They are commonly used in water and wastewater treatment processes to remove suspended solids, improve clarity, and facilitate filtration. Flocculants work by neutralizing charges on the particles, causing them to stick together and form flocs that settle more quickly or can be removed through other methods such as filtration or flotation. They play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of water supplies and other fluid systems.
