Corrosion & Scale Inhibitors

Corrosion & Scale Inhibitors are specialzed chemical compounds that are designed to prevent or mitigate the damaging effects of corrosion and scale build-up in various industrial systems. They play a significant role in maintaining the integrity and longevity of equipment in industries such as oil and gas, water treatment, manufacturing, and power generation.

Corrosion and Scale Inhibitors come in various types, typically complex combinations of specially structured compounds. The selection of types depends on factors such as the metal surface condition, composition of the corrosive medium, and operational conditions. Commonly used scale inhibitors in water treatment include Inorganic Polyphosphates, Organic Phosphonic Acids, Phosphonate Carboxylic Acids, Organic Phosphonate Esters, and Polyacrylic Acids.

There are many categories of scale and corrosion inhibitors, and products that combine corrosion inhibition and scale inhibition functions mainly include:

Organic phosphorus scale and corrosion inhibitors, such as ATMP, HEDP, DTPMPA, EDTMPS, HPAA, etc.

In addition, a small amount of polymers also has some scale and corrosion inhibition functions, such as phosphonyl carboxylic acid copolymers, green scale and corrosion inhibitors like PESA, PASP, etc.
